Welcome to Techie Mentor

Do you need a techie mentor? Do you want tech advice and answers from someone who speaks human. I know sometimes I do. Throughout my life I have been helping friends and family to use technology. I love people and I love to see technology serve them. all to often however technology confuses us or even betrays us. Those of us who are techies usually through persistence figure it out. All to often others just quit. This site is dedicated to those of you who are tempted to quit. We will post short articles to helps you do the things you want to do easier and faster. We will focus on internet technology but might venture from time to time into other technologies... I will primarily focus on the challenges that I have recently faced and overcome but am open to questions or suggestions. Whenever possible I will try to links on the internet to other sites that I think you might find helpful either to get a longer explanations. If I don't think there is a good simple solution out there I might just make one and let you know about it (see www.gracefultools.com for a list some of the tools we havebuild recently).

As a husband, dad, a campus minister, and life long learner I don't want to get bogged down in figuring stuff out myself when I can get help so technology can be of service to me and I don't wind up spending all my time servicing technology.
